The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can select a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only downside is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving along.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which floor vacuum robot serves as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
